Wife and a good friend playing with the Rays
Very busy port as you will have to tender. There are no shopping bargains, the normal tourist spots; "Turtle Farm" and "Hell" are worth a visit. Beaches are easy to get to but what is a MUST on this island is swimming with the stingrays. I have done this on several occasions and have loved it. The way to visit the Rays is to rent a wave runner (see links on the right/below) and go out into the ocean and get to stingray sandbar. You are away from the crowds and you will have a smile on your face when you see the crowds in the cattle car tourist boats visiting the sandbar and you are on your own wave runner. Great fun, if it is a windy day be prepared for the waves.

Bob, Thanks for the informative comments re NCLs jewel. We are cruising same itinerary feb 29.Your comment reaasured us as we have heard complaints about NCL and this will be our first time on that cruiseline.We usually go Princess but the itinerary was so appealing we decided to give it a try.
