Good times in Seattle

Flew to Seattle for a 3 night visit prior to heading north to Vancouver. Arrived Seattle/Tacoma airport and saved big on taxi fare by riding the “light rail” to my downtown hotel. Getting to the light rail station is a simple process: just follow the signs at baggage claim. You will walk through the parking garage and eventually see the elevated station. Booked a three night stay at the Best Western Plus/Pioneer Square…(http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g60878-d72572-r272787738-BEST_WESTERN_PLUS_Pioneer_Square_Hotel-Seattle_Washington). Pioneer Square is a historical area and is almost in the heart of downtown, so you can get to most of the main tourist attractions by walking. I also rode the local bus “104” to reach the terrific Museum of Flight. Below is a list of the ‘do not miss’ sights I visited and excursions that I loved and saved money to boot:

http://www.ridetheducksofseattle.com/, NOT FREE but you can quack and relax.

http://www.empmuseum.org/, Lots of fun especially if you are into sci-fi.

Day 3: http://www.museumofflight.org/, Oh Lah, Lah…. Wow if you are a fan of aviation and history. Got to eat many meals with my foodie buddy “Erin” check out his restaurant Seattle restaurant guide

Note: if you plan riding Amtrak, the King Street Station is in Pioneer Square.
