“I AM BACK” and once again Hollywood Beach, Florida was to host and collect more of my money. On this trip, which was for 10 days, I was joined by two of my daughters. Booked a “small” casa/apt which was 24 steps from the Broadwalk but directly in front of a public parking lot which made things interesting throughout the stay.
Our first trip highlight was meeting up with our friends from past years, Gloria and Wiley Slaughter... it was wonderful seeing them after all this time. We enjoyed dinner with them at our favorite hangout Taverna Opa. The next day we met back up for a stroll, a little shopping and lunch on the famous Los Olas Boulevard and then took the Hop on Hop off water taxi. The water taxi cruised the Inter-coastal waterway, and we got to see Millionaire's Row of waterfront homes - a great day and fun times with good friends. Wish we had more time so we could get off at the many stops and discover the surroundings... guess another trip needs to be planned.
Besides our nightly walks on the lovely fun Broadwalk, we added a few new restaurants to our list. From Peruvian cuisine at (http://pachamankarestaurant.com/) to Good BBQ(https://www.joesgrills.com/).
Spending time with our daughters, Josephine and Janine, was special. My daily visit to the Margaritaville Resort Flowrider took its toll on my body, but the ocean and constant cool breeze made the trip wonderful. “I WILL BE BACK”.
